To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Phase 2 I am writing a f/u of my above surgery and experience. The initial surgery was 07/14/08. It is now 09/09/08, and I HOPE that I am in the final stages of healing! When I went to my 6 week follow-up visit with my surgeon he said after examining me that I was at 3 weeks of healing (not at 6!!) This was devastating to me as I was being as careful as I thought I could possibly be. I was truly starting to hate the site of my couch!! But my husband and I did travel, and made it a very relaxing time..just a long weekend. During this time, I realized that when I’m at home, I’m “up” and “doing” for myself and others, and don’t really think I was taking the time needed to heal. Those extra couple of weeks relaxing and not lifting heavy items did help me feel better. The only remaining problem is my left buttocks still aches (can’t grab that out in public!) , and I can still feel an occasional “poke” from a slow dissolving, dissolvable stitch located higher up into my vagina. TIME..TIME..TIME is SO the key word here! Never thought I would have such a hard time resting and relaxing!! There is an end in site! Hang in there!! Comments
