To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download grade 2 uterine prolapse with cystocele I was recently diagnosed as having a grade 2 uterine prolapse with cystocele (bladder hernia). I went to a new gyn and she found it, asked me a couple of questions, and told me to do Kegels After the appointment, I had such cramping and pain and pain in my bladder, feeling like I had to urinate all of the time, and it was much worse with sitting, which I do all day at my job. They wouldn’t call me back about my discomfort, so I finally found a urogynecologist to go see. After some painful bladder tests and exam, she told me I have uterine prolapse with cystocele, and would need a vaginal hysterectomy with cystocele repair and any other parts put back where they belong. It seems like some gyn docs blow off a uterine prolapse like it’s nothing, so I would recommend trying to find a urogynecologist. I have three boys and am 40 yrs old. I don’t want any more kids, but I’m worried about sex after surgery. I know I have to do the surgery because I do have daily discomfort with just walking around a store or bending over at the waist to do chores, or sitting on a hard surface. I have some problems with sex too, but once in awhile it works out like normal. I would love to hear from anyone who has had a vaginal hysterectomy with or without cystocele repair, etc., and hear how they did after surgery - the pain, recovery, sex, etc. It’s weird, because I don’t want to feel the way I do now anymore, but I feel like I’m losing something important.
