posterior vaginal wall repair

l have had my surgery and l thought some ladies may be interested in how things are going. During surgery my gyno decided that my bladder bulge was only very slight so he decided to only repair the bowel which was pretty bad and worse than he thought. It has now been 10 days since my surgery.

l spent 5 days in hospital and l feel that l did need it. l woke with a catheter, a drip, a packed vagina, and six stitches between my legs. l was sore but not unbearably. The catheter was removed the next day and l developed a bladder infection which set me back a day or two. l had an apisyotomy [episiotomy] which was very tender for the first week but is now improving. l have discovered that l must keep my bowel motions very soft while healing. l was unable to sit upright for the first week, l would either sit back in a recliner or lay in bed and l am still very tired and finding the need to have an arvo nap. l am now pottering around for a while and then needing to rest. l will keep you posted.
