To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download UTI Throughout most of my life from teenager to now I’ve been having recurrent cystitis infections. My doctor would give me Canesten pessaries or I would buy them from the chemist. I am now 49 and a couple of months ago I noticed that I started to pass urine quite frequently and I had a pain just at the bottom of my tummy. I went to my doctor and he said I had urinary tract infection H e gave me a prescription for Trimethoprim 200mg which I have finished taking but I’m still urinating frequently and still get an uncomfortable feeling at the bottom of my tummy. I also feel nauseated with headaches at times. I will be going back to my doctor to check if I still have the infection. However I would just like to say to other women and girls to go to the doctor at the first sign of UTIs as sometimes if left untreated, the kidneys can be affected and also now the bacteria that causes UTI can sometimes be resistant to antibiotic and as a result complications can develop related to kidneys or even blood infection.
