To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My poor 16 year old daughter This whole year has been absolutely rotten for my daughter. She started having serious UTIs around the time she had her first intercourse and has had four of them since. I don’t know if it is a series of different infections or if maybe the same one has just stuck around under the radar and become quite resistant. She’s on cipro right now, which is such a deal with the devil, as maybe it will cure the current infection, but will also kill all the good flora in her intestines and almost certainly leave her with diarhhea and a yeast infection to boot! She also has reflux and a hiatal hernia was just diagnosed. With all that, there are very little good times to be had as she’s home sick a lot. The semester is beginning in a week and I found her crying tonight after having the most horrible summer a teenager can imagine. Can’t blame her. I’d cry too! I’m putting her on the 8 strain type of pro-biotics and some C Manase that I found at the natural meds store. Anyone had any experience with the latter? I’ll recommend that she look up this site. Anyone know of any other message boards she might go to with info on this? Thanks. Comments
