To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Recurrent UTI’s I have suffered Recurrent UTI’s (this year about 8 already). My Urologist said I should never go on broad spectrum antibiotics like Keflex (cephalexin), but only go on Triprim or macrodantin which will not destroy all the good bacteria. It will take my body a while to restore good bacteria again. Also I think scented toilet paper and washing powders and scented washing liquids trigger one off for me. I have to use very diluted Amolin baby was to wash my clothes and feel i have to rinse twice in the washing machine. I was told that I am in the category of women (20%) that have this problem and I will most likely need a vaccine to stop e coli growing in the bladder. Low course antibiotics of course help, but when I go off them and I become lazy with water intake, not realising I am using scented toilet paper etc - bang I get another one. I have had all the tests to rule out other problems. Comments
