i had surgery in april 2006 to have a tvt sling device inserted for incontinence.

3 years later is has now been found after several investigations to be entwined around my bladder and embedded in the pelvic area causing all sorts of complications and severe pain.

i was not told that this could happen which is rare. i am having investigations by the mhra in the uk and also the makers johnson and johnson and i am awaiting the reply.

in the mean time i have a poor quality of life because of the polyprolene being embedded in my body.

i have been granted a email petition on the number 10 downing street website to ask the prime minister to investigate this operation. under health and well being teresa hughes tvtslingmisery. please sign up to this petition

i am suffering along with hundreds of other women who have recorded adverse incidents to the mhra about this device

the investigations into this device needs to be done sooner than later before hundreds more women and men end up suffering complications.
