Please tell me this isn’t permanent.

On Sept. 2nd I had a sling procedure done along with a cystocopy. I went home a little sore but otherwise fine. Until I tried to pee. It hurt like hell and nothing came out. I called the Dr.’s office and was sent back to the hospital to a womans evaluation unit. They put in a catheter and told me I could remove it on Sept. 4th.

Removing it was like heaven. I called the Dr.’s office again, and was aganin told to go to the hospital. I received another catheter which I told had to remain until… I am going nuts. I still have a strong urge every now and then that feels like I’m trying to “hold it”. They said that might be bladder spasms and had me buy something that turns my urine. Is this something that is going to last a while? I don’t think I’ll be able to self catheterise..
