On May 16, 2007, I had a bladder lift surgery referred to as an abdominal sacral colpoplexy. Within two weeks of my hospital release I knew something was wrong. I had abdominal cramping and I felt as if there was something lodged at the top of my vagina.

I was involved in an auto-accident. My lower back has a bulging disc. Since the accident, I have begun having incontinence problems. I have been diagnoses with a mixed (stress and urge) incontinence.

one year ago at age 56 i had the sling procedure and it seemed to work well…no leakege problems ,then after 12 weeks it failed. my urologist suggested a repeat procedure using a different material he used with greater success.
