..Not So Disconcerting - Bladder Sling Update

by: gp on Mon, Apr 09 2007

Well, maybe I jumped to conclusions. It seems the pelvic discomfort was not related to the bladder sling. Actually, I think what the doctor placed is vaginal tape… I had a record of the procedure but can’t find it now. Next time I talk with her (my Gyn) I will enquire more about this. This June will be two years since surgery and so far my experience has been great…no leakage, no bleeding, no pain. Knock on wood?
Time will tell….I am now aware of the horror stories. As a result of this website I was able to open up to my husband about some of my apprehensions regarding sexual intimacy. He read the stories and got a sense of what women are experiencing. I think we can finally communicate about some things now that have been suppressed.
