To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Disconcerted About Bladder Sling I had a bladder sling placed in June 05 and it seemed like a dream come true…no more leakage, no more thick incontinence pads. I didn’t think to do any research….I just talked with my doctor and she recommended a sling and explained it to me. Sounded uncomplicated. Why didn’t we decide on this sooner? Maybe now I know after reading some of the post experiences that cause me great concern. Over the past two weeks I have started to feel some pelvic discomfort when in a reclined position, similar to what I felt before the surgery. So I got online and found some stories of slings gone awry. I am not sure what to do…I can call my doctor and talk to her…none of these possible outcomes were discussed. I went into the surgery fully confident. Now I am praying this won’t turn into a horrible experience some others are having with pain and bleeding and further complications of surgery. I wish there was some reassurance but I guess for now it will be open ended as I find my way in the days ahead. The past nearly two years of no incontinence has been wonderful. Comments
