  • Intrathecal Pain Pump and Low T - by m c l - (Wed, Dec 19 2007)
I have chronic pain from a helicopter accident and have been managed with serious narcotics.. until a patch went awry & somehow offloaded 3 days of meds into me….I am lucky to be alive- Went to the pain pump- best decision for pain I have made in 15 years- Everything in this wold is Quid Pro Quo: however, weight went on, depression (goofy like and sadness_) increased, lost interest in my hobbies, got fat and had my teeth go to the he-double hockey stix in a hand basket- so symptoms are: 1- no libido, sometimes hurts to whiz 2- big weight increase 3- depression/stagnation etc 4- memory crapped out- simple stuff!!! 5- tired, fatigued 6- joints more achey (SP?) 7- teeth 8….. Finally, my pain manager asked me to ask my Internal Med for a Testosterone Level test, she thought it may be a little low- well- it was she called me and told me it 48- For those of you who’ve experienced this firsthand- any hindsight you can share- any stories on how long it took to start feeling better and if they weight came off.. I have been going to the gym on the recumbent bike and in the pool for at least 75 minutes 4-5 times a week- IS THERE ANY HOPE= oh and if there is a preferred method for application, time, day, week, month- My wife, my son and his twin sisters and I most of all would like to say TIA [more..]
