To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Opiate Medication Got You in a Sweat? After I had been taking Oxycontin for awhile for severe back pain, I noticed that I began to sweat with less and less normal provocation, leading to being able to THINK my way into a sweat. Job interview? Forget it. Having had anatomy, I had a feeling that the problem originated near where my pituitary should be. So I asked my doc for some testosterone to test my theory. He gave me a topical gel (100mg in 5% gel packs, 1 pack/day) and within two weeks the abnormal sweating was gone, although I still sweat normally under exertion, etc. I have been using it for about a year, there does not seem to be any tolerance effect and abnormal sweating is gone. It has been a godsend to my life. However it does not make up for the lack in smooth muscle response that opiates are notorious for. Still need Viagra for that. Comments
