To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Why can’t urologists take me seriously? I have suffered an blunt force trauma to the groin a few years ago and a short time later, discovered I had symptoms of erectile dysfunction some mild urinary incontinence and dull ache and discomfort around the ventral side of penis. I palpated in the area where my discomfort was located and noticed there is a large tear or rupture in the dartos fascia–the superficial fascia just beneath the skin. The tear is more obvious during erection. The penis feels weak and feels as though the organ has “dropped” secondary to the rupture in the dartos fascia. My problem is that I cannot find a urologist that will listen to me..Every time I make an appointment, I get a urologist who just “looks” at my anatomy and tells me I am normal..making no comments on my symptoms..I ask for an MRI .since this will show soft tissue damage..again, the urologists deny me the right to have this test..claiming it is not necessary. My symptoms persist, and I believe if I can only find a urologist who will surgically repair the dartos fascia rupture my symptoms will disappear. Is there any surgeon out there who is willing to help me??? Comments
