Medicine and sleepwalking (Chantix side effect?)

I am a 38 year old female who has had intermittent sleepwalking episodes for as long as I can remember. They seem to be associated with new medications, stress, quitting smoking and/or pregnancy (which goes along with the quitting smoking and stress!).

Most recently I have gone on Chantix to help me quit smoking. The first night I brought my husband the remote control to the television and told him it was his turn to drive the roller coaster when he asked me why I was giving it to him (I don’t remember this). The second night I threw away some house plants, which I sort of remember…thinking I was pulling weeds in the lawn. I have also rearranged our closet, emptied the dishwasher, built a dam out of shoes in the hallway and done some basic wandering around.

I know Chantix states that it can “cause changes in dreaming”–but this is wearing me out! (I am tired after working on these projects all night!) I hate to take another med to help me really sleep at night–any ideas?
