Prostate Cancer - 18 years later

I was diagnosed in 1991 at age 57 with a PSA of 44 and Gleason score of 6-7. I opted for a prostatectomy but the capsule had been breeched and the operation terminated. This was followed by External Beam Radiation but the following year the PSA was back to 12. I chose an orchiectomy reasoning that this would be preferable to chemical castration and accepting that my sex life was over. But I also realized that I was defined by much more than just my sexuality. After 15 years of very low PSA readings (non-detect to 0.1 or 0.2) the latest reading this month was 0.4. The urologist was not particularly concerned but it has prompted me to begin research again to understand what might lie ahead, thus finding this web site. I would like to hear from others that are in similar circumstances.
