To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Prostate Cancer at 40 I had a PSA level of 41, so went in for a biopsy of the prostate and all 15 samples came back with cancer this lead to the CT scan and a bone scan a week ago. The Bone scan I am being told showed 3 worrisome spots. The Oncologist gave me the news 2-3 years for survival … not what a 40 year old in relative good health with a 8 and 11 year old wants to hear. The more I read the more options that I find are out there, where does one start? If one starts chemo, most of the Herbal centers won’t treat you. Do I put off Chemo for later and try some an Herbal center so many overwhelming options. Almost makes having the PC harder, thinking that one might make the wrong decision in treatment. All I know is that I asked my GP for a prostate and colon screening last year for my 40th check up and was told not to worry they don’t check for those until one turns 50. Now I am being told that I have had this cancer for some years now. I turn 41 this Sunday and can’t keep but thinking what things would be like today if I would have been checked a year ago, but I know I can’t worry about the what if, I have to focus on the what is and be here for my family.
