I was diagnosed with prostate cancer september 2007and as radiotherapy or chemotherapy were out of the question, Iwas immeiately put on acourse of Cyproterone to bing down rapidly from 46 to almost zero.
Iwas then given a zoladex implant into my abdomen, this being female hormone therapy and although there are some unpleasant side effects, allll in all it ahs kept things under control.
I was receiving implants every month bit now I have the injections every three months and lead a fairly active life.
I forgot to mention that I am 78 years old and to reassure anyone in the same situation that there is life after prostate cancer
One of my specialist nurses summed it up by saying to me, that you dont die from the cancer you die with it!
