To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download PD Part III Well I had my appointment in Boston and was not all that surprised when he stated that I had PD. after all two (2) other doctors had already told me that. Can you feel my frustration already? Ok, let me tell what happened so that you can better follow the continuation of this problem. The appointment was for June 23. I asked the receptionist if my wife could come in with me. Not a problem. I was taken almost immediately even though we were early for the appointment I was glad to see a male nurse. Somehow a female for this type of problem just does not seem right. He did the normal BP, temp etc. Urine test, but he also did an Ultrasound of my bladder. That was something new for me. After he left, the dr came in, again, almost immediately. We went through the basics, then my wife was asked to leave for only a few moments. We would talk when she could come back in. The doctor did the normal Prostate check which all men hate. And a few other things, a few other questions. My wife was then told that she could come back in. He then told me that I did indeed have PD, that I had a “good sized mass” and drew pictures to describe what he was talking about. He then went into the various methods of approaching the problem. Settled on injections as my penis is still continuing to curve. (It has not reached its zenith if you will - no sense operating until it is finished - made sense to us) So we will be doing injections. Of course this brought up the scheduling and more waiting - He could not start the injections until the 26th of this month - another month of waiting. We agreed, of course, to the schedule and am now scheduled for six (6) injections every other week starting the July 26th. I received a note from him last week telling me that my Testosterone is extremely low and that we should discuss this at the next (first) appointment. So now I am reading everything I can find on Low Testosterone Will this be a never ending problem, sort of like the guy that was on “ER” several years ago, starting off with an erection that would not go down? He eventually stroked, had a heart attack and eventually died in the story. Alright not funny but you get the idea. My problem is, again, have to wait. But no one else in the area I live in gives these injections. I can’t remember the name of the drug only that it sounds like the brand name of the paint that they sell at Home Depot. Just let’s get this started, I don’t relish the thought of injections into my penis for a reason I can’t really understand yet without the fact that I have to wait another length of time to start having them. And what about the Low Testosterone, will I have to wait another month before we can start addressing that? Stay tune for part IV coming soon. rca Comments
