To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download The wife’s side I am the wife of a man with this affliction. It just came on about 4 months ago, since that time, he hurt his back, and then had a heart stent put in, in May. It came on fairly sudden, but has had the band in his palm for years, we just thought it was from hard work, and he grew up on a farm. It is having a terrible emotional affect on him. I had a hysterectomy 17 years ago, so I am not one that HAS to have sex. I feel bad for him. He just started taking vitamin E a month ago. I had taken a picture of him with my cell phone camera and we took it with us to the doctor. He said it was about 70% bent. We have been married for 28 years, and have 3 beautiful children. We are trying different things, but I just want him to be happy. I read all the stories on here to him, and he told me to stop, he didn’t want to talk about it anymore, so I can see that it really does affect a man’s view of himself, and self-esteem. It seems like doctors don’t even know much about it, or that it is not well studied. At this point we are just hoping that it will go away, as he takes the vitamin E. & as fast as it just “happened”. It was not real gradual, maybe about a few weeks for it to be real noticeable. He says it hurts when he wakes up, and has to go to the bathroom, or anytime we try. I would love to hear of any success stories with this affliction. It is hard to talk about with people you know. One great thing about the internet. Comments
