To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download my baby who had more than four surgeries before the age of four I have a nine year old daughter who was born with heart and kidney problems as well as mild spina bifida. Her kidneys were said to be cystic and hydronephrotic while i was pregnant. and when i gave birth we were told that she also heard a hole in the heart and coacrtation of the aorta. There was no function in one kidney and the one functioning was cystic and hydronephrotic. She had her first surgery at six weeks weighing only 1.6 kgs and was hospitalised for the first four months of her life. The second surgery was done when she was nine months old and between the two surgeries she had to live with oxygen at home cause many a times she would fail to breath and turn blue. Against my better judgement at the pressure from doctors she had her first kidney operation when she was 2 years after which she developed a kidney stone so she had to have a second surgery when she was 3 years. Unfortunately these operations did nothing for her she still has hydronephorosis. She also can not bend her knees and walks kind of straight. I am asking if there is anyone out there who knows if there is anything that can be done for her knees because other children make so much fun of her at school. I want her to be happy. Her kidney is not a problem at the moment although she occassionally complains of pain. She has a distended stomach but urinates o.k Comments
