To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Natalie’s 2nd UTI in 4 wks Natalie is 3 yrs old in March of this year. I never thought her getting a high fever 103.7, vomiting, strong urine oder, bottom hurting her all the time and red. Her doctors never thought to check her pee. They just said it’s a stomach bug. I knew that was wrong and told the doc. to check her pee for uti. It came out postive for a uti. So we went to a pediatric urologist who said just drop off some pee if u think she is getting a uti again. Well four weeks later she starts with a fever again. So I bring her to the doctors again. They say this time she got a cold, no cough and no runny nose. So I take her pee to the pediatric urologist A couple of hours later she calls and says she has another uti So she wants to put her on antibiotics for 6 days and then give her a test for reflux. Well she runs the test and she comes out after 20 mins. She says her daughter has grade 4 in both sides backing up into her kidneys. She says Natalie needs to be tested every 6 mths and stay on antibiotics every day of her life until puberty hits. And if by then no change then she will need surgery. But I think i need to get a 2nd opinion on this. I’m now looking for another pediatric urologist in my area. Comments
