To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download OAB I am 47 with an overactive bladder. I have always had a weak bladder but never this server. My OAB problem has been with me for about 3 years now. I have tried most of the medicine Oxibutinin, Vesicare and Tolderodine to relax my bladder muscles. These tablets make me worse. There was an option given to me for Botox injections into my bladder. I declined this as self Catheterisation after injections are quite common and this is not an option I wish to do. I take anti depressive medication, Amitriptyline for depression and mainly for my bladder - two tables in the evening which, helps me sleep, and not too many trips to the bathroom. In the morning I take only one tablet. I can not concentrate and therefore, do not work due to my condition, my general day consists of going to the loo with not a great deal of discomfort and urinate every 10 to 20 minutes or so. I also have prostatitis which, after 7 months of antibiotics did not work, I treat now with chinese herbal medicine which has had some success. I have accupunture treatment and do Tai Chi for my mental health. I am hoping that when my prostate problem is cured my OAB will disapear with it also. Perhaps, the leading up to and current prostate problem has been causing the OAB all along. Well I can live in hope! I have tried a multitude of herbal remidies and now trying something new Lycopodium - homeopathic medicine. Life is not fantastic for me with this miserable condition! November 2008
