To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download IRRITABLE BLADDER I have had probs with my bladder for a lot of years. Initially it was cystitis that started it off. A wrong diagnosis by a doctor and then an operation to widen my tubes. This worked for the cystitis that and using herbal remedies . But unfortunately my bladder had been weakened by all the years of cystitis and being told to go to the toilet as often as possible. I didnt go back to the doctors for years re this until we got a new doctor and I discussed this with him . He put me on tablets “tropsium chloride ” which interrupt the signal from the bladder to the brain telling it that I need to go urgenlty. However it has not got rid of the prob. I was sent to a consultant who advised after several tests that I needed an operation to stretch the bladder. I advised I was allergic to anasthetic so I would have to go away and think about this. I have since decided against surgery as there are to many horror stories out there. Instead I am trying bladder retraining . The kegel exercises and I shall be going back to my gp about several thing I have read on the internet . Which naturally enough neither he nor the consultant had informed me about. I will try all of them and see what works and what doesnt . I have found the internet a valuable tool. Yes you do have to weed out the adverts and the rubbish . But it has given me hope if not of a cure then at least some relief for this embarassing anti social problem . August 2008
