To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download i hate kidney stones I’ve been reading everyones stories and I must say I don’t like what I read. On a Friday day at work I got a weird pain in my stomach and it felt like it was coming from my testicles. I’m a male so it felt like I got kicked there. Saturday I went golfing and it was only pain in my left testicle for the next couple days. I went to the Dr. on Monday and had no pain anywhere else. They thought it was an infection and gave me some antibiotics, fair enough. I went back to work and had blood in my urine so I went back to the Dr. and they set me up for a ct the next day. That night was some of the worst pain I have ever felt, and I can handle pain. After not being able to do anything but feel the pain I went to the ER. They did a ct and I had a 1cm, thats right cm kidney stone that they removed by going up the shaft, and then I was released. I went back to the ER on Wed. because the pain had gotten so bad again, no stones just swelling. Today is Friday and its the first day I could really eat something and I didn’t take any meds until this evening. They were making me sick and unable to eat or drink. I have my follow up on Monday. My great uncle is the only one in my family to have a stone before and I have a large family mostly males. I had been taking calcium pills since I’m lactose intolerant but I’m done with that. I don’t know which was worse the pain of having the stone or the pain after surgery, all I know is I don’t ever want these again. Worse pain I’ve ever felt. Hope this can help someone. The pain doesn’t always start in the kidneys. Don’t wait for the Dr. to get an appt. you know your body and you pay the bills so make sure they do a ct. Comments
