To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Kidney Stones I have had little stones but didn’t know what I was experiencing until the “big stone” happened. 10mm! I was intern teaching and experiencing pain, nausea, the usual. I had a stent put in, developed an infection, got poor results with my doctor so I found a new one. Big difference. The new one got me scheduled in two weeks to get the stone lithotripsied. It went well. Not much discomfort. Really tired for a week. No bruising. NOTE: This is why I am sharing!! I found out my vitamin D was almost non-existant and therefore my Calcium was going out through my kidneys. I take vitamin D, make sure I get 15 min. of sun a day, drink 8 glasses of water, eat healthy. So far, no new stones in 6 months! Get your vitamin levels checked if you have stones. Comments
