All of a sudden I am doubled over in pain in my left side with terrible pain. I get this wave of nausea that I have never felt. I take the pain/nausea for 4 hours before I go into labor and delivery only to be told I pulled a muscle. I go home. I return a few days later with same pain. I have contractions 5 minutes apart. They tell me I have a UTI give me some trebutiline and send me home. I return the next night with a fever of 103.4 my babies heart rate is 190. They finally tell me I might have kidney stones and a Kidney infection. I am in the hospital for 3 days. 7 weeks later I am hospitalized with the same pain. I am told by my OB that the kidney stones should pass on their own after I have the baby. I have a wonder, beautiful and thank god healthy baby in October. I wait about 5 months with continued nausea and constant aching pain in my left side. Finally I go in to see my PCP after 8 months. My PCP takes me seriously and does a CT. I have a 2-3 CM stone stuck in my left Kidney. I got ESWL. Got a stint….that HURT. Got infected 3 weeks later. When I was in the hospital passed at least 5 LARGE fragments, which were so large that they pushed the stint out of my urter. WOW…needless to say I actually do feel better now…I hope I don’t have to go through half of this again! Comments
