About 3 years ago my husband had his right kidney removed due to cancer. He had never had a problem with kidney stones until about a year after the removal. He had surgery where they put a stint in. Since then, he has had frequent kidney stones He usually can pass them (sometimes 4-5). He had his urine tested, which showed uric acid stones. His Urologist told him to drink more lemonade. About two months ago, he started having pains all over in his back, and right flank (where he has no kidney), he has been to several doctors and has had 3 CT scans done. All have shown many kidney stones which one large one is in his lower left kidney area. Our Urologist has completely dropped the ball on this. My husband has had constant pain in the last two months, and I am deeply concerned about his only good kidney. We are going to see another Urologist on Monday, and I sure hope he can help. This has been devastating to my husband as he is having a hard time functioning day to day, not to mention the stress the rest of my family feels. Comments
