To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Story of an un-insured american Let me start off by re-assurring you that i’ve been through rough times with numerous stones and 2 surgeries for monsters over 2.5CM First big one was in 2004 required shockwave with a stent placement (very painful stent)after approx 7wks stent was removed in office with NO pain meds (just a topical)and it took almost an hour of ridiculus pain…all he could say is “here take these anti-biotics” and off i went… on july 27th,2007 while coming home from Bermuda I was put on the ships deck by pain that i had felt before…after about 5hrs I couldn’t take anymore and the ships Doctor was called…as soon as he was aware of my previous condition a shunt was placed and morphine was poured in and for me to have any comfort the shunt was left in place just in case…the pain just went away so i watched my voiding to catch the bugger for my collection…all i had was normal Tile setter back pain (or so i thought!) On oct 15th i was put down again this time a MRI was ordered and a 2.4CM stone was detected…The Uroligist gave me my options and the one he sugested was Laser but the stent had to be placed first to stretch me out to give him more room for a bigger laser because the stone was so dense Oct 31,2007 stent was placed(Happy to say this stent is not so bad) with surgery 2 weeks later…after the normal grind of passing slivers and boulders… I stopped passing them…but the pain was so intense that i ran out of vicadin I called my doc on dec 15th just for him to say “get another KUB to see if I even need the stent anymore…several more stones to pass with no meds prescribed…then the RED blood began to pour out of me and i felt as if i was passing stones…while i was collecting my crumbs and slivers i noticed what appeared to be clear tubular glass with shards attached…after some research i had came to the conclusion that it was the distal end(fiber-optics) of the laser that was utilized durring my procedure…I approached my doc only to have him say “it happens sometime” again no meds…get another KUB on dec 26th… on or about dec15th I again was put down by intense pain while ending my void with nothing coming out so i decided to flood myself and push real hard (i now have a hemoroid from pushing so hard) to my amazement a mass came out of me that had the appearance and diameter of a cooked spagettii noodle 2 inches long(really hurt!!!) that either didn’t or couldn’t be seen on the KUB… again i called my Doctor with him saying come in anytime today and he would FIT ME IN…ater a long wait at his office i finally seen him only for him to get offensive and not even wanting to see the mass i passed…He said I should have known that was going to happen, saying the stent was to be at fault…gave me some enamblex because i said my end of voiding hurt real bad and sent me on my way feeling sub-human…after the mass was out of me i was passing 1 to 3 mm stones one after the other(approx 2mos after surgery) on dec 26th KUB showed more stones(approx. 10-15) 24 vicadin pills was prescribed…Next appt. is set for feb 13th.While collecting my grains i noticed a shiny white(pourous) thing that appears to be bone(HOW?) On jan 25th i felt as if my penis was in a vice at the end of my void so i flooded myself and again passed a long mass size of a noodle over 2inches long…only way i can pass this is in warm water so as im collecting this tissue i noticed black fibers i thought it was just a fluke so i just kept watching finally i convinced myself it was coming out of me…it is WIRE smaller than a human hair(i’ve managed to save them with the longest one almost an inch long) I can only assume that it came from the broken distal end of the laser…EVERY time i void i can see these”wire peices” from 1/8th to 1/4 inch long(feels as if im passing a 3mm stone) if anyone out there in the world wide web could shed some insight to my situation i would appreciate it…i feel as if my Doctor shows NO concern at all…so sorry to ramble on but,I need to vent…any advice will be accepted with an open mind, Comments
