To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Sick, sick sick I found out I had a kidney stone and infection a few weeks ago after going to the emergency room for extreme pain. After reading the literature, I am confused. I had been having intermittent pain for months, had a hardness on that side of my lower abdominal for most of the last year that no one could diagnose, had been very sick for most of that time, had felt that my system was ‘poisoned’ and that I needed antibiotics but couldn’t put my finger upon why. Now, after ten days of taking bactrim, darvocet and 800 mg ibuprofen, I am feeling like a new person, better than I have in the past year and look back unable to believe how sick I have actually been. Is mine an unusual case? My pain has subsided and my doctor doesn’t want to do a follow-up CT, but I fear that because my pain has come and gone (but to a lesser degree) that perhaps, it will reappear. Does anyone have any advice for me? WHy is my case different? Comments
