Five years ago I had two massive stones in my left kidney which they blasted. Unfortunately these never came out so I had hundreds of the darling things moving around. I passed some so they did an ureteoscopy, twice in a week, it didnt work.. Came out with a stent in, that was agony and then I had a major operation where they go in your back and they managed to get them out. Six months later, more stones, again, had ureterosocopy and out they came, thank goodness. I have interstitial cystitis too (bladder disease) so am always in alot of pain after these operations. I became addicted to painkillers (pethidine) because I was so afraid of having an attack and now I am prescribed 12 morphine tablets a month and go into hospital if I need any more! Its a nightmare, I am going in again in three days to have another operation to move stones. Its not fair on my three children seeing Mummy totally in pain and the doctors DO NOT know what causes them. Within six months of an operation, they are back. Christine Comments
