Also, a vaginal infection can cause repeated bladder infections…however, doctors don’t test for that unless you ask them to do so. My doctor knew I had been to the emergency room and that the bladder infection came back after finishing the antibiotics there. They gave me another type antibiotic and told me to call if it wasn’t getting better. I called…and they asked me to come and and tested me and said you don’t have a bladder infection..duh.. they just gave me antibiotics. My back has been continuously hurting the whole time, so I know that it is still there. They wouldn’t give me anything else. Then I went on a cruise and guess what… I had a bladder infection.
