Kidney Cancer

I have Kidney cancer and it was found by accident. Had a fall and finally went for an MRI , cat scan and many blood test. The Urologist Dr. Girvan told me I had to have the kidney removed. Major surgery, done Jan 23/09, recovery slow but it was contained to the kidney. 8cm in size and stage 2 Cancer.

I am feeling great and will have check ups every 3 months for awhile. Only problem was there was no one to talk to about the emotional side of this disease and I would have liked to have someone help me with this. I had no symptoms at all so if you are in pain please remember you know your body better than anyone else out there and push for testing. Dr’s dont like to hear that. there is life after this disease. I am 66 years old and plan to be around for another 35 or so:)
