To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Living with IC and pelvic pain I am 27 years old and was told I may be suffering from IC and pelvic floor dysfunction. I have had chronic bladder infections (3 or more) a month including other infections for 9 years now. The leakage, urgency and pain was horrific. Doctor after doctor, test after test was told there was nothing wrong with me. Had a complete hysterectemy and the pain was still there. Was sent to numerous phycologists and was told the pain was in my head. Was diagnosed with severe depression and was given antidepresents. Went to emergency room several times for excruciating pain and was treated like an animal. NO understanding from anyone and just gave me a pill and sent me home. Kept telling me there was nothing wrong. Understanding and learning to cope with the pain I think is the most difficult part of this disease. I am finally being sent to an Ic specialist and hopefully will get more answers. Hope is out there. Comments
