To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download why me? It took me three years to get a diagnosis. I went from doctor to doctor. From specialist to specialist. I have changed the way I eat, having small meals and following the IC guidlines. I stopped smoking. In short I made all the changes I could and have had absolutly no results. I have tried drinking aloe and taken the homeopathic approach, I have completed my 7th bladder instillation and now I’m waiting for the hydrodystention. IC is a terribly painful disease. The longer you go on with this pain and lack of sleep the worse it gets. I had to educate my doctor ( he had never heard of IC) The pain is constant, never ending. I was a faith filled happy go lucky person. Active in my church, active in politics, always busy doing something. Little by little I have removed myself from the world, afraid there might not be a bathroom, afraid someone will be able to tell that I’M IN PAIN. I have become a recluse and am just grateful to have my bed near the bathroom. I am also grateful that I have my own bathroom. I go to church on Sunday and try to put this all in Gods hands. That is the only thing I do all week. I take pain med, Elmiron, Prelief, and a muscle relaxer at night. I never imagined that my life would be like this. I thought I could take pain, but when it’s constant and at such a high level you get exhausted, depressed and VERY ANXIOUS. I hope the world of medicine comes up with something soon. If not it’s good to know that God never gives us more than we can handle and that must mean we can handle a whole lot. Mary Comments
