To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download IC and Dieting I was diagnosed with IC after going through two surgeries to cure the constant abdominal pain. Which was about 6 years ago. My doesn’t flare up often but when it does it’s bad. I have tried to eliminate everything in my diet that might cause it to flare up. Along with the IC I also have IBS. So trying to find things to eat got really difficult. I recently went to a new doctor and he put me on Vesicare and a new medicine that has Amitriptyline and another medicine combined. This has helped me tremendously and not only with the IC but also with the IBS. My problem is that this drug has caused me to put on about 15 pounds and I don’t know what to do to lose it now. I crave sweets all the time and that is about all I eat anymore. I have cereal with Lactose Free Milk in the morning, for lunch and sometimes dinner. I have no desire for regular foods. I have been going to the gym now for about 5 months and it hasn’t helped. I would like to know if anyone has found a diet/appetite suppressant that can be taken that is safe with IC. It is driving me crazy. I’m 42 years old and I know there may be other things causing the weight gain other than the meds, but it didn’t start until I started those pills. But they work too good for me to stop taking them. If anyone has found anything, please let me know. Comments
