Dealing with IC

I have had so many female problems in the past, constant urinary infections, PID infertility. I was always on antibiotics for a UTI I would usually go in and get my urine checked and sometimes it wasnt clear and other times it was. Sometimes I would just call my doc cause the pain was so bad he would call in another antibiotic. I do not recal how many years ago this was but I started to notice that whenever i ate or drank anything acidic I would get the same symptoms as a UTI so I decided to avoid certain foods and drinks, 6 months would go by without any problem them wham the pain would come back.

Some years ago I went to a urologist and he diagnosed me as having overactive bladder he wanted to do more testing but I didnt have INS and couldnt afford it, he had me try all those medications that help you not pee as much like detrol la but I was allergic to them all. In 2005 I had a hysterectomy and 8 months later had a hernia operation, then I went to my obgyn in 2007 because I was bleeding during intercourse and she diagnosed me with IC she said I should see a urologist

Well its been 2 years ago and I havent been able to do so because I have no ins and cant afford it. I have tried to moderate it by diet, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. This disease has really effected me emotionally and psycially. All the past teasing about me always being in the bathroom, not being able to hold a job because of it or getting fired because im always in the bathroom. This disease has wrecked my life. I do not know how long I have had this disease because my doctor and obgyn’s never tested me for it before 2007 but I feel like I have had it for over 14 years because of all the symptoms I have. It all makes sense now.
