Living with Interstitial Cystitis

I have had all these symptoms for years….my pain comes and goes, but when it comes it is disabling. I found this site, and for the first time I have hope of a treatable diagnosis. I grabbed the phone and made an appt. with my gyn. for tomorrow a.m. they tried to make me wait untill next week, but I broke down into tears and insisted she see me asap, or she can see me in the ER tonight. sometimes you have to push to get anyone to listen.

I have been hurting for 2 wks straight, and have missed 6 days of work…I am in danger of losing my job. being a single mom of three, that is not an option. I am to the point of depression and desperation. I have printed this info and I will present it to my dr. in the morning. I feel hope for the first time in years. Has anyone elsse experienced a white mucous like odorless vaginal discharge with IC? could this be from my bladder? It seems like a stupid question, but the front wall of the vagina supports the bladder, so could one effect the other? God bless all of you suffering this horrific pain. You are in my prayers.
