To both individuals that were so kind to offer their stories, I would like to say thank you. I also want to say that I am 45 years old and feel too young to have such a condition however; compared to alternatives, I feel blessed. I hear the desperation and frustration in each of you, for that I am sad for you. If I think I’m too young, you certainly are. Remember one thing, you are in control of you and only you knows your body. Do not be dismissed by the medical profession. And never let them think you need anti-depressents like something is wrong in your mind…it’s not…it is in another location of the body. There will be someone who will help. I do not suffer to the degree that both of you do as I am able to work with pain medicine in light doses. I had to re-adjust my mind not to settle. I can see the doctors roll their eyes when they see me coming but I don’t care. It’s happening to me, not them. I push myself, I say I can do something and I do it otherwise I would stay in that chair with the heating pad on my side. I just focus on the task and say I can rest when I finish. You can do it, just reach inside yourself. Good luck in your doctor visits and take care. Comments
