To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download My nightmare I was diagnosed 13 yrs ago and I have been through just about everything. I had the DMSO, I have tried all oral meds including Elmiron and nothing worked. I was even enrolled in a study at the Univ. Of Maryland for IC and had to discontinue because I got pregnant. I was terrified thinking it would become worse but surprisingly It was not that bad just the usual frequency. But as time goes by it is becoming progressive. Before I only had frequency but now I have pain in my bladder as well as having to go pee every 15-20 minutes. On a good night I usually get up only twice, on a bad night 4 times. When I wake up having slept through 3 or 4 hours, I go and then have severe pain in my bladder. I also have back pain and pain in my sides. When I do go it is drops at a time and as soon as I do go I feel like I immediatly have to go again. Through the years I have has relapses at times but then get terrible flare ups. If anyone has any new treatments please share. I have not seen my Urologist in 2 years because I think that nothing can be done but I have an appointment in 2 weeks with a new one. Comments
