Age affected impotence

When I was 75 I found no difficulty at all in maintaining an erection but now in my mid-eighties I find it quite impossible to achieve more that a flaccid imitation;this does not prevent ejaculation but it is not a satisactory experience either for my partner or me.

I have tried several “enhancing pills” but to little avail and I wonder if indeed it is simply a matter of age finally taking its toll. Perhaps I may have to give up thr idea altogether and sublimate my desires and energies to another form of expression.

Have any other contibutors to this column had similar experiences and if so do they have any valuable advice to offer?
