Living with Erectile Dysfunction

Sorry to report. When I first started taking blood pressure medication at the age of 41 I had very little trouble concerning sexual performance. Since that time things have changed. I can no longer sustain an erection much less get an erection without the help of Viagra. Even with viagra It is hit and miss. If I fast for several hours Viagra seems to work for only 2 or 3 hours. And oh the side effects… Sinus shut down.. at times headaches, blurry vision for a few hours, and even headaches. If I eat anything the party’s over. I have been on blood pressure medication for 17 years and I am constantly hearing the myth that it does not affect your labido or your ability to perform…. Funny I never, and I mean never, had a problem before I started taking this type of medication. I have lost weight.. from 300 down to 225. Had a good tread mill test by a Physician. I eat very healthy. I am very active. And I even quit smoking….. but nothing has improved… What can I do??? this is so frustrating to be half a man. To look at a beautiful woman and feel only total frustration. This has been devastating to me physically and emotionally.

Can anyone help me? Are there surgical solutions? How well does the surgery work? Will insurance pay for the surgery???
