To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Male with Interstitial Cystitis and BPH I am a 61 year old male with Interstitial Cystitis and an Enlarged Prostate I am going to have to have something done to my prostate gland to so that I can urinate in near future. Presently I am still able to urinate. Although slowly. My problem is, I have a compromised IC bladder which is not curable and need something medically done to my prostate. My median lobe of my prostate in protruding in my bladder (volcano effect within bladder). If seem logical to remove as little bladder tissue as possible because of my bladder disease but still remove tissue from the prostate. The prostate tissue will most like grow back over time and I am assuming the bladder will not. I am afraid that I will end up with additional pain on top of the pain that I already have with IC. Is there a particular procedure that has been shown to have a least advise affect on men with IC that require something be done with prostate? Would like an answer from a doctor that deals with men with IC that require something to be do with the prostate so they can continue to urinate and have not additional pain due to prostate surgery /therapy? I do hope that there is someone out there that can give me some direction. I live in the Seattle, WA area. If there is anyone that I could see here that could give me information that would also help. Thank You, Ron Comments
