Urine flow

I had an open surgery of the Prostate glands in the year 1984 and recovered very fast. I was having no problem until recently. I am 81 years old and experiences the slow flow of urine. I had a CT Scan of the abdomen and found that there is a 6cm long cyst in the left kidney. However, during a test of the urine flow it is observed that the flow is irregular but empties the bladder fully. I am worried about the slow flow of urine. Doctors advised me that this is due to the age and nothing else.

Is there anything to be worried about. Any one can give me some advice.
Regards,
R.Ravendran
