To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Bladder Cancer After finding blood in the urine, I went to a Urologist and has a systoscopy exam. She found a large tumor in the bladder, extending from the left ureter opening to the prostate area. She removed as much as she could, but said that it was stage 4, and was blocking the left kidney. I am scheduled for palliative radiation treatments in a couple of weeks. My problem; The cancer is not curable, and will therefore be terminal. It seems I have a choice of dying from the cancer, or from kidney failure. I am inclined not to allow surgery for kidney treatment, or for the cancer, other than palliative, in the hope that renal failure might be a more gentle way to go than would cancer. I am 84, and have congestive heart failure, so any radical treatment probably would be contraindicated, anyway. Comments
